Much of Europe has been snowed in. Even down here on the east coast of Italy we had enough snow to close the schools.
It’s been cold, brrrrrrr.
And we don’t know about you but we’ve been dreaming about sunshine, pools and beaches…

….when I’ve been doing Qigong in our lounge (with the heating struggling to keep up) I’ve been imagining I’m on the warm sand of Stromboli…
…when we’ve been walking in town, I’m imagining taking the walk down to the ‘three lakes’ restaurant at Urbino Resort through the vineyards and olive groves….

Sure, there are things I love about a cosy, snowed-in winter, but bbrrrrr, even now, I’d prefer to be swimming in the warm sea on a long summer day.
Our retreats are about more than sunshine, pools and a fabulous holiday, of course.
But in weather like this, I can’t help my mind turning to the warm sand and chilled prosecco.

P.S. The strange thing about having had this cold weather so late in the winter is that we could be looking, here in Italy, at very much warmer weather in just a matter of weeks (thank goodness!)…
